The summer craft season is almost here! We are so excited to feature creative, unique gifts and beautiful things made by Wyoming crafters EVERY SUNDAY! Come wander and discover a variety of different vendors each week, beginning June 3rd through September 2nd, from Noon to 4pm.

 

For craft makers and entrepreneurs, this is the place to be. There is so much support here for hand-crafted items--plus  opportunities to connect with new customers each week.

Summer Kid's Camps

 

Join us for Summer Kid's Camps at the Saratoga Museum every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, June through August, and engage in hands-on learning activities. All supplies are included and there is no cost to participate.

 

Feel free to bring a blanket for your child to sit on as these events are held outdoors on the lawn at the Pavilion. Please note the event may be canceled in the case of bad weather.

Summer Kids Camp: YARN DOLLS

 

Learn the art of making both girl and boy yarn dolls. Yarn dolls were made to entertain children during historical times. If time allows, students may play games that were played during historical times in the Platte Valley.

Summer Kids Camp: DENIM ART PROJECT

 

Learn about the history of denim and its importance to Wyoming. Students will turn denim into an art project.

Summer Kids Camp: TRAIN WHISTLES

 

In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Union Pacific Railroad, students will decorate train whistles and engage in the meaning behind whistle blows. Learn also about the history of the Saratoga and Encampment Railroad and the responsibilities of those worked on the vintage trains.

Summer Kids Camp: DANCING RIBBONS

 

Learn about Native American ceremonies and dancing. Students will design their own dancing ribbons and dance to Native American music.
